Topic: This article covers how to access Outlook contact and calendar information a mobile device outside of the Outlook app. For example, so that you may browse work contacts to make calls from the integrated phone app.
For Apple devices:
Only contact information (not calendar) is available to save from Outlook to the native iOS Contacts repository, and only as a one-way push. Avoid making edits in the Contacts app as they will not sync back to Outlook.
To enable access, open Outlook on your iOS mobile device, tap your account profile icon/photo and then the Settings gearbox > Contacts, and then toggle Save Contacts as seen below:
If you toggle the option back, it will prompt you to Delete the previously saved contacts from the device:
For Android devices:
Contact and Calendar information is available to sync from Outlook to the native Android apps.
To enable the sync, open Outlook on your Android mobile device, tap your account profile icon/photo and then the Settings gearbox > Contacts and/or Contacts, and then toggle the Sync option as seen below:
On newer Android versions you may need to open the native Calendar app and tap the menu bars and then Settings > Manage accounts > Non-Google Accounts, and toggle the setting on.
