Typically, when we grant a user Full access to another mailbox, the other mailbox will automatically show up in the Outlook desktop app (you would see it if you scrolled past your own mailbox on the left hand sidebar). However, there are some instances in which you would need to add it manually, such as:
- You have access to too many mailboxes, which can affect Outlook performance, so we've turned "automap" off. This means the mailboxes will not automatically show up.
- You are using Webmail instead of the desktop app.
If the above apply to you, continue reading!

Manually add another mailbox in the Outlook desktop app
You first need access to the mailbox, which must be done by the CTD Help Desk.
- In Outlook, navigate to File > Account Settings > Account Settings
- Double-click on your email account
- Click More Settings
- Click on the Advanced tab, then click Add...
- Type in the email address of the desired mailbox address
- Click Apply
- Add more mailboxes as necessary by repeating steps 5-6
- Click OK
- If it freezes momentarily after this point, just let it think and get settled. It's likely processing all the new data from the other mailbox(es).
- Click Next, then Finish, then Close.
You should see the mailbox appear as a secondary, separate mailbox in addition to your regular inbox.
If this doesn't work, you might not have the necessary permissions, in which case you should contact the mailbox owner and the Help Desk.
