How do I test if I can join a third party meeting?

You want to be prepared! That's what we like to hear!

Scenario: You have an upcoming meeting that isn't a Skype for Business meeting (maybe WebEx or GoToMeeting or another conference call platform). You want to be sure you can successfully join that meeting when the time comes. 

Below you'll find links to test sessions for some common platforms to make sure you have what you need installed ahead of time (though usually links sent out from other organizations come with a test link).

Chrome

1. Go to the following address: https://www.webex.com/test-meeting.html
2. Enter name and email address then click on green “Test a Meeting” button.
3. On next page, select “Run a temporary application” at bottom.

 

Internet Explorer

1. Go to the following address: https://www.webex.com/test-meeting.html
2. Enter name and email address then click on green “Test a Meeting” button.
3. On next page, select “Run a temporary application” at bottom.
4. Choose “Run” to start the meeting. This should launch the WebEx meeting without needing administrator credentials.
