Using Chat in Teams
We highly recommend taking a look at these best practices for using Chat in Teams. There's a lot of awesome chat features in Teams, such as persistent chat (for groups, meetings, and individual conversations), GIFs, Immersive Reader (a read aloud feature), editing sent messages, etc.
If you have more than 20 people in a chat (the limit is 100 people for a private chat), the following chat features are turned off:
- Outlook automatic replies
- Teams status messages
- Typing indicator
- Video and audio calling
- Sharing
- Read receipts
