If you're having issues setting up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) through the Microsoft Authenticator app, here's some troubleshooting tips.
- Typically before you can access Remote Desktop, you need to set up MFA first. See this guide on setting up Microsoft MFA.
- If you're getting an error page instead of the setup page, you may have an existing Microsoft account that is interfering with the login page. In this case, try using an incognito/private browsing window.
- If you're using Safari, try using the Edge browser.
- Make sure you have push notifications enabled for the Microsoft Authenticator app. You may need to restart your phone if the push notifications don't seem to be coming through properly.
If the above doesn't resolve your issue, please open a ticket with the Help Desk - include a detailed description of the steps you took, any screenshots of error messages, and we'll help get you on the right track.
